Developing young language learners’ proficiency in alignment with CEFR, focusing on A1 and A2

Abstract

Developing young learners’ proficiency in accordance with CEFR has attracted the attention of several researchers and educators since its first publication. This paper aims at presenting a brief overview of CEFR and discussing the advantages and challenges in referring to CEFR in developing young language learners’ proficiency, focussing on the levels A1 and A2. This document ends with some pedagogical implications.
