Abstract

Evaluation of existing models of inland sandy areas has taken place from field visits and surveys of 70 case studies in the inland sandy area of Quang Dien district. Of  all, there were 25 general models, 33 three-component and 12 two-component. All of these models were designed and constructed by local people to be adapted to the harsh conditions of this area and the to current changing climate. Nevertheless, there were 32 production models operating with all 3 aspects of economic, social and environmental efficiency.
