Abstract

For past few years, ICT has become one of basic building blocks in education of modern society. However, there seems to have an uncanny lack of influence and far less change than other fields have experienced. Understanding tools by which teachers adopt ICT in their teaching as well as identifying the rate of ICT integration can be an important step in predicting of ICT adoption in teaching. This paper provides an understanding by relying on Rogers’ Diffusion of Innovation Theory. Findings gained from this study not only give a rather thorough picture of ICT adoption in teaching in Hue University but also provide implications for education planners who seek effective means to encourage the teaching staff to integrate ICT effectively into their teaching.

Keywords: Hue University, Information and Communication Technology, ITC, ICT adoption, diffusion theory.
