THE SPECIES COMPONENTS OF TURTLES IN AN GIANG AND DONG THAP PROVINCES

Abstract

According published materials, the composition of turtles in An Giang and DongThap provinces had thirteen species belonging to twelve genera, three families. Among thethree families, family Emydidae has nine genera and ten species, family Testudinidae hasone genus and one species, family Trionychidae has two genera and two species. Therewere six species in Vietnam's Red Data Book 2007.
