TRITERPENOIDS FROM THE STEM BARK OF JACKFRUIT (ARTOCARPUS HETEROPHYLLUS LAMK.) GROWN IN VIETNAM

Abstract

Three triterpenoids: cycloartenone (1), cycloeucalenol (2) and betulinic acid (3) were isolated from the stem bark of Artocarpus heterophyllus collected in Ha Noi. Their structures were elucidated by analysis of IR, MS, NMR spectra and comparison with the published data. Compound 2 was found  for the first time in Artocarpus genus.
