STRUCTURAL AND ETHANOL-SENSING PROPERTIES OF LA1−XYXFEO3 NANOPARTICLES

Abstract

The nanocrystalline La1−xYxFeO3 (0x 1.0) powder with orthorhombic perovskite phase was prepared by sol-gel citrate method. The average crystallite size of the La1−xYxFeO3 powder is about 20 nm. The resistance and gas sensing properties of the La1−xYxFeO3 based sensors were investigated in the temperature range from 160 to 300oC. The results demonstrated that the resistance and response of the perovskite thick films changed with the increasing composition x.
