Abstract

Thua Thien Hue has lager areas of low land along the Tam Giang- Cau Hai lagoon across most of district in Thua Thien Hue. The population in there is rather crowded as fertile soil, rich aquatic crectures in an area of the largest lagoon of the Southeast Asia. Climate change, however, would make a part of the lagoon submerged under water sea level, affecting soil quality and land use.

This article analysed the causes, happening and consequence of climate change in Thua Thien Hue. After that, carrying out assessment of climate change impacts on submerged land in both soil type and current use of land according to climate change strategies, the authors proposed solutions for responding and using propriately land in order to reduce damages.
