Các nhân tố ảnh hưởng đến thăng tiến nghề nghiệp của nữ giới trong lĩnh vực kinh doanh khách sạn ở thành phố Huế

Abstract

 Với mục đích khám phá các rào cản ảnh hưởng đến cơ hội thăng tiến của nữ giới trong ngữ cảnh ngành kinh doanh khách sạn, nghiên cứu này đã tiến hành khảo sát với 132 người lao động của 16 khách sạn 3-5 sao ở thành phố Huế. Kết quả nghiên cứu cho thấy nữ giới chiếm hơn 2/3 lực lượng lao động hiện tại của các khách sạn, nhưng tỉ lệ nữ quản lý còn khá khiêm tốn. Các rào cản chủ yếu đối với thăng tiến nghề nghiệp của nữ giới bao gồm áp lực cân bằng công việc và gia đình, các định kiến về sức khỏe, khả năng chịu áp lực công việc và sự gián đoạn công việc khi nữ giới thực hiện thiên chức làm mẹ. Thăng tiến nghề nghiệp được coi là động cơ gắn kết người lao động với doanh nghiệp và do vậy họ cũng sẵn sàng rời bỏ doanh nghiệp nếu có cơ hội tốt hơn về thăng tiến nghề nghiệp. Đây chính là tâm điểm cho các giải pháp cải thiện cơ hội thăng tiến nghề nghiệp cho nữ giới trong các khách sạn hiện nay.
