Abstract
This study analyzes the network structure and the evolution of research themes in the field of destination choice decision-making, based on 1,454 research papers from the Web of Science (2004-2024). Through co-citation and co-keyword analysis, the study identifies four key themes: tourist behavior and influencing factors, decision-making processes and socio-cultural factors, the impact of culture on tourism, and models of tourist behavior and destination choice. Additionally, co-keyword analysis highlights seven central themes: decision and behavior, perception and risk, image and loyalty, influencing factors and interactions, marketing and market, decision and motivation, and experience and quality. The findings emphasize the growing importance of experiential tourism, destination image, and the role of technology in shaping tourist behavior. However, the study depends on a single database, and potential bias in keyword selection is its limitation.
