Abstract

Dengue viruses are the cause of dengue fever, which can lead to severe syndromes such as dengue Hemorrhage fever and dengue Shock Syndrome. Domain III of the envelope protein of dengue viruses has been proved to be a promising eptitope for vaccine development because it induces neutralizing antibodies in human. Therefore, the antibody against these proteins has a great potential for the vaccine development and therapeutic monoclonal antibody development. Herein, we report the first study of its kind in Vietnam for the production of polyclonal antisera against envelope domain III of dengue virus serotype I in Balb/c mice. We also characterized the antibodies for its titers, specificity, and cross-reactivity against dengue 3 and 4.
