Abstract

Europium doped Sr2Al2SiO7 (SAS) phosphors have tetragonal crystalline structure that were successfully prepared by solid state reaction method at the optimal condition: sin-tering temperature 1250oC, annealing time 120 min and content of the flux B2O34 %wt. Lu-minescent spectra of Eu2+ ion doped Sr2Al2SiO7 phosphor have a broad band with peak at 513nm. While luminescent spectra of Eu3+ ion doped Sr2Al2SiO7 phosphor consist of narrow lines peaked at about 590nm, 619nm. In the Sr2Al2SiO7 lattice, Europium ions role the activation centers that their valence status depends on the technology condition. Influence of the technology and the spectroscopic properties of the phosphors were presented and dis-cussed.
