Abstract

Three fatty acids including stearic acid (1), linoleic acid (2), linolenic acid (3) and triacontan-1-ol (4), α-tocopherol (5) were isolated from the aerial parts of Passiflora foetida L. Their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic methods including FT-IR, ESI-MS, NMR and by comparison with the published data. Compounds 4 and 5 were found for the first time from Passiflora genus.
