Abstract
National independence, freedom and happiness for the people are the values that President Ho Chi Minh sacrificed his whole life to pursue and fight for the Vietnamese people. He has realized these values during the process of leading the revolutionary cause. Simultaneously, he correctly resolved the relationship between national independence and the freedom and happiness of the Vietnamese people. National independence is the basis and condition to ensure freedom and happiness of the people. And the people's freedom and happiness are reference values and factors to ensure that national independence is fully realized. Ho Chi Minh's thought on the relationship between national independence and people's freedom and happiness has great theoretical and practical value, making an important contribution to the construction and defense of the Socialist Fatherland nowadays
