Abstract

With the logic and historical methods, comparison, and contrast, in this article, the author clarifies that Hue’s culture belongs to the central cultural region, typical of Vietnam in the nineteenth century. Overcoming the unfavourable natural circumstances by adapting and surpassing, Hue’s culture became the narrative of the spiritual and material life of Vietnam’s last feudal dynasty. With positive values, Hue’s culture guarantees Hue’s identity. It is the energy source for the present and future development of Hue City in particular and Thua Thien Hue province in general.
