Numerical modeling analyze the bearing capacity of the ultra-high performance concrete (UHPC) slabs using finite elements method

Abstract

The paper presents the numerical modeling methods to analyze the bearing capacity of the structure of the water-collecting slabs using Ultra-high performance concrete (UHPC). A new material modeling method will be introduced to describe the UHPC material's mechanical behavior in tensile and compression when working in the linear elastic and plastic deformation phases. The numerical model of the structure of the water-collecting slabs was built in three-dimensional space (3D). In particular, the DP (Drucker-Prager) material model is proposed to be used to simulate UHPC materials. Analysis results based on numerical model updated from experimental data is a reliable results for determining the maximum load capacity of the slabs.
