Design and Implementation of a Fault-monitoring device for photovoltaic systems based on IoT platform

Abstract

This paper presents a wireless photovoltaic monitoring system. The prototype system includes, sensor system, motherboard with microprocessor STM32F103 integrated photovoltaic mathematical model and communication system to transmit data from sensor system and calculation data from microprocessor to mobile devices through a web application. The sensor system includes solar radiation sensor, current sensor and temperature sensor to collect actual operation data of photovoltaic system. Besides, the fault detection system is developed based on comparing the current measurement and current simulation.
