Abstract

The species composition of fish in the lower Cua Sot river is very diverse, and 109 species were identified. They belong to 71 genera, 43 families, and 16 orders, in which the Perciformes are the most abundant with 45 species (41.28%), 22 genera (30.99%), and 17 families (39.53%). There are 12 economic species, one rare species in the Red Book of Vietnam (2007), and two rare species in the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species (2019).
