Abstract

This study examines the influence of leadership style on the performance of hotel employees in Dalat. The study was conducted based on survey data from 263 employees working in Dalat hotels and linear regression was utilised to test the proposed relationships in the model. The findings indicate that leadership style had a positive effect on employees’ performance. In which the reward based on performance had the strongest impact and was followed by the attractiveness of leadership behavior. The three factors that had the lowest impact include attractiveness by the quality of the leader, employees concern and management by exception actively. The analysis result also showed that the higher star rating hotels are, the stronger the impact of the attractiveness of leadership behavior and the intellectual stimulation had on hotel employees’ performance. This study offers theoretical and practical contributions to the research of leadership style.
