Mạng xã hội với việc chia sẻ nội dung của du khách hoặc người dùng đã từng trải nghiệm dịch vụ du lịch được xem là nguồn thông tin chính hình thành hình ảnh điểm đến du lịch. Nhiều nghiên cứu tập trung vào việc khám phá mối quan hệ giữa nội dung do người dùng tạo đối với hình ảnh điểm đến. Bài báo này nhằm mục đích xem xét các nghiên cứu liên quan đến nội dung do người dùng tạo và hình ảnh điểm đến du lịch dựa trên phương pháp phân tích trắc lượng thư mục, dữ liệu phân tích dựa trên 89 tài liệu bao gồm các bài báo, kỷ yếu hội thảo và chương sách thu được từ cơ sở dữ liệu khoa học Scopus trong giai đoạn 2010 đến 2023.  Phần mềm VOSviewer và Excel được sử dụng để phân tích cơ sở dữ liệu. Phân tích đồng trích dẫn và phân tích đồng từ khóa được thực hiện nhằm xác định lý thuyết nền tảng và các hướng nghiên cứu của chủ đề. Trong số các phát hiện, bài báo xác định được rằng nghiên cứu về nội dung do người dùng tạo và hình ảnh điểm đến vẫn đang ở giai đoạn đầu, các nghiên cứu chủ yếu tập trung vào việc khám phá nội dung, vẫn còn nhiều tranh cãi về tác động của nội dung do người dùng tạo đối với hình ảnh điểm đến.
