Abstract
Abstract: This article introduces the results of the evaluation of the Francophone Free Walking tours model (FFWT - Free walking tour for French-speaking tourists). The FFWT model is designed based on Beur and Bramwell’s (2015) research on tourism product development. From this model, the authors develop three cultural journeys: Hué - réputation des cultures impériale et bouddhique (tour 1: Hue, the reputation of royal culture and Buddhism); Hué - rencontre des cultures occidentale et orientale (tour 2: Hue - the meeting place of Western and Eastern cultures) and Découverte des beautés mystérieuses de Hué (tour 3: Discover the mysterious beauty of Hue). Then, the authors invited five native French-speaking tourists and three tourism experts to experience and evaluate. The two evaluations, theory and practice, of three cultural journeys, show the relevance of the products as well as their benefits and feasibility. However, in order to better meet the needs of the beneficiaries (French students, French-speaking tourists, etc.), some factors of the model need to be supplemented and adjusted.
