Abstract

This study explored the factors influencing the intention to become a startup mentor in Central Vietnam. The research employed a mixed-methods approach, utilizing surveys and in-depth interviews to collect data from current and potential startup mentors. The survey data was collected from 350 entrepreneurs, business professionals, and university lecturers in Central Vietnam. Regression analysis revealed that positive attitude, knowledge and experience, and expected benefits significantly influenced the intention to become a startup mentor, with expected benefits being the strongest predictor. This study provides valuable insights into the factors that motivate individuals to engage in startup mentoring activities, thereby suggesting recommendations for developing the startup ecosystem in Central Vietnam.
