Tóm tắt

Nghiên cứu tìm hiểu việc giảng dạy của giáo viên tiếng Anh tại Việt Nam và niềm tin của họ về việc dạy năng lực giao tiếp liên văn hóa (ICC) đối với chuyên ngành du lịch. Mười lăm tiết dự giờ đối với mười giáo viên đã được tiến hành trong các lớp học Tiếng Anh chuyên ngành Du lịch (ETP) của họ tại ba trường ở miền Trung Việt Nam. Sau đó, các giáo viên được phỏng vấn để kiểm tra niềm tin làm cơ sở cho các phương pháp giảng dạy ICC của họ. Kết quả cho thấy các hoạt động của giáo viên tập trung vào các kỹ năng ngôn ngữ và kiến ​​thức liên quan đến du lịch. Việc dạy ICC của họ được coi như một mục tiêu phụ, nhưng khi họ dạy ICC, họ nhấn mạnh các khía cạnh ngôn ngữ, nhận thức và hành vi hơn những khía cạnh khác. Việc giảng dạy của họ được dẫn dắt bởi niềm tin của họ về tầm quan trọng của việc chuẩn bị sinh viên cho các bài kiểm tra trong khóa học và nghề nghiệp tương lai của họ. Nghiên cứu cung cấp những đề xuất quan trọng đối với giáo dục ICC trong lĩnh vực du lịch.
