Tóm tắt

Chúc mừng là một trong những mục đích của hoạt động giao tiếp ngôn ngữ mà trong bất kỳ xã hội, dân tộc nào cũng có. Hành vi chúc mừng cũng góp phần tạo nên văn hóa ứng xử cho mỗi người và cả nền văn hóa của quốc gia đó. Nghiên cứu này tập trung khảo sát hành vi chúc mừng trong tiếng Việt và tiếng Anh nhằm tìm ra những điểm tương đồng và khác biệt về việc sử dụng chiến lược chúc mừng trong giao tiếp của hai ngôn ngữ. Phương pháp nghiên cứu định tính và thủ pháp thống kê mô tả được sử dụng dựa trên ngữ liệu từ các phụ đề phim điện ảnh và truyền hình Việt Nam và Mỹ nhằm thống kê số lượng và tần suất sử dụng các chiến lược chúc mừng trong hai ngôn ngữ; từ đó tìm ra những kết quả mới góp phần vào lý luận vào lĩnh vực nghiên cứu hành vi ngôn ngữ.
