Abstract

This study was based on data collected through a survey of 250 domestic tourists using structured questionnaires in Ly Son, Quang Ngai province, Vietnam. The main objective of the study is to examine the tourism destination’s attractiveness of Ly Son by applying the destination attribute model based on tourists’ opinions. The results show that although the tourism resources of Ly Son are highly valued, the tourism products and services are not sufficient. To increase the destination’s attractiveness of Ly Son, it is completely necessary to develop/enhance nightlife/entertainment activities, accommodation services, the professionalism of tourism workers, environmental sanitation, public services and amenities, shopping and culinary services to better meet the tourist’s needs in Ly Son.
