Abstract
Song Neo-Confucianism (Neo - Confucianism, The Cheng - Zhu school, Zhu Xi Study, Xing - Li Study) is the name of a movement of Chinese New Confucianism during the Song Dynasty (960-1279). This period marked the strong rise of Confucianism in the face of waves of Wei - Jin Xuanxue and Sui - Tang Buddhism, which were deeply rooted in the source of Chinese culture. Through the thorough combination of these streams of thought, Neo - Confucianism has created a strict system of philosophical categories to interpret human issues, thereby creating vitality for Confucianism in new context.
