Tóm tắt: Mặc dù đã có nhiều nghiên cứu về chuyển ngữ  trong dạy học tiếng Anh, vẫn cần thêm các nghiên cứu khám phá nhận thức của giáo viên về chuyển ngữ mang tính sư phạm trong bối cảnh Việt Nam, đặc biệt là trong các lớp tiếng Anh tổng quát. Nghiên cứu này nhằm lấp khoảng trống đó bằng cách khảo sát quan điểm của giáo viên tiếng Anh tại một trường đại học ở Việt Nam về tác dụng và chức năng của chuyển ngữ trong giảng dạy Tiếng Anh cho sinh viên không chuyên ngữ. Nghiên cứu sử dụng phương pháp hỗn hợp, kết hợp dữ liệu định lượng từ bảng khảo sát thang điểm Likert 5 với 35 giáo viên vài dữ liệu định tính từ phỏng vấn sâu với 5 giáo viên. Kết quả cho thấy giáo viên có thái độ tích cực đối với việc sử dụng chuyển ngữ trong các hoạt động giảng dạy và giao tiếp. Họ đồng thuận cao với những lợi ích sư phạm của chuyển ngữ, xem đây là một chiến lược hỗ trợ người học và quản lý lớp học hiệu quả. Giáo viên cũng thể hiện nhận thức rõ ràng về các chức năng của chuyển ngữ như hỗ trợ xây dựng kiến thức, quản lý lớp học linh hoạt và hỗ trợ cảm xúc cho người học. Từ kết quả nghiên cứu, có thể đề xuất rằng chuyển ngữ nên được công nhận như một phần của diễn ngôn lớp học và được tích hợp vào chương trình đào tạo giáo viên.
