Ẩn dụ ngữ pháp là một trong những hiện tượng ngôn ngữ được giới thiệu bởi Halliday trong công trình nghiên cứu về ngữ pháp chức năng hệ thống của ông. Bài viết này phân tích ẩn dụ tư tưởng trong các hợp đồng kinh tế tiếng Việt dựa trên lý thuyết ngữ pháp chức năng hệ thống. Mục đích của bài viết là tìm ra các đặc trưng trong ẩn dụ tư tưởng, phương thức thể hiện, các dạng không tương thích (ẩn dụ) và tương thích (không ẩn dụ). Kết quả nghiên cứu cho thấy, ẩn dụ tư tưởng trong hợp đồng được hiện thực hóa thông qua danh hóa cụm động từ và danh hóa cú / mệnh đề. Trong đó, danh hóa cú / mệnh đề chiếm ưu thế hơn rất nhiều so với danh hóa cụm động từ. Danh hóa cụm động từ diễn ra ở hầu hết các quá trình chuyển tác. Trong danh hóa mệnh đề, Cú bị bao được danh hóa, giữ vai trò như cụm danh từ làm Chu cảnh trong các cú quá trình không tương thích chiếm ưu thế nhất trong các kiểu danh hóa cú / mệnh đề.
